Herrmann House was built in 1880 and was sitting empty when our clients April and Paul purchased it. They owned a block of land with an existing smaller cottage and wanted to move the farmhouse onto the block next to the building.
We relocated the house 1.5km down the road to it’s new location and joined this beauty to the existing cottage with a pavilion. Both houses were restumped with new galvanised steel adjustable stumps and the farmhouse had a new roof erected. We also replaced the stumps of “Black Hall”, a hall on the neighbouring property which is part of the owner’s event venue.
This is a great example of how you can join two houses together and completely transform a tired old Queenslander. The houses have retained their original character while being given a fresh modern look.

Dodds Cottage was purchased from Dalby Removal Homes and relocated from Warwick to Boonah. The quaint cottage was relocated in a single shift and restumped with timber stumps on the exterior and adjustable steel stumps in the internal area. It looks great with a lick of fresh paint and new roof. Check out some of the houses for sale at Dalby Removal Homes.
