Most people usually book in a Building and Pest inspection, however overlook the need for a stump inspection. We offer a stump inspection service, providing our clients with a complete written report and quote on the cost involved in repairing any unsatisfactory stumps.
The stumps are the foundations of your home and have a flow on effect for everything above so should be structurally sound before any renovation works are completed in the house. A lot Queenslander homes in Brisbane and Ipswich still have the original timber stumps holding the house up and many are over 100 years old! Timber stumps are great for setting off the heritage look, but should be checked for damage from termites or moisture and to ensure correct level is being maintained, particularly in reactive soils.
